Nationals FC 04 Girls Take Second at 3v3 Live Dallas

by Coach Jason July 10 2010 17:42

The Nationals FC 04 girls played in the 3v3 Live Dallas tournament on July 10th in The Colony, TX at 5 Star Soccer Complex. The girls started strong by posting 3 straight wins in pool play. Playing against the Dallas Texans in their final pool game resulted in their first loss but it was enough to send them to the championship game as the second seed. Before the championship game the weather turned for the worse with rain moving in and began flooding the fields. But the tournament continued on as the girls played the same Dallas Texans team again for the final. The girls fought through the pouring rain but it wasn't enough to finish on top. Posting their highest tournament finish yet the Nationals FC 04 girls continue to improve and play with more confidence. Congratulations to Kiley, Ava, Addisyn, Sofia and Riley (not pictured).

2000 Boys Finish 3rd in 3v3 Live Dallas

by Coach Jason June 27 2009 17:04

To play soccer in Texas, sooner or later you have to learn to play in the extreme heat. The 2000 boys got a heavy dose of it in the 100+ degree temperatures at the 3v3 Live Dallas tournament on June 27th in The Colony, TX. I think any team participating in these temperatures deserves a medal just for finishing the day out. Although they did not advance to the championship game they did finish well all around outscoring most of their opponents by a fair margin. In total they scored 37 goals for and only had 11 goals against with 5 wins and 1 loss. It was the most competitive tournament of the summer so far and they gained some great team experience.

Players participating were Dylan, Kameron, Nick, Fabian, Jake and our guest player for this tournament, David. They all showed great skill and perseverance through the heat. Congratulations boys!

by Coach Jason November 15 2008 15:53

The Nationals FC 2000 boys finished in the top 4 of the 3v3 Live Winter tournament in The Colony, TX. The boys started off slow in very windy and cold conditions but gained momentum through the tournament. They narrowly missed defeating the eventual champions in the semifinal game having lost only by a penalty kick in golden goal overtime.
