The Nationals FC 00 boys are 2 time champions of the Dallas Kick It 3v3 Tournament. The boys faced some good competition on day one and lost 1 game finishing as the third seed going into the playoff rounds on Sunday. They advanced to the championship by beating the 2nd seeded ASG team. They faced Dynamo in the championship who had beaten them the previous day. The boys played tough defense and were difficult to break down which lead to an exciting 3-2 win in the last minute of the game. The 00 boys are an excellent group who continue to persevere and prove that they are among the top 3v3 teams in the nation. Congratulations to Kameron, Nick, Jake, Matt, Dylan and Fabian. The Nationals FC 00 boys participated in the Pot O' Gold 3v3 tournament held at Blue Sky Sports Center in The Colony, TX on April 3rd. They boys split up into 2 teams of 4 and invited some guest players to play with them. The Nationals FC White team consisted of Kameron, Jake, David and Jordan. The Nationals FC Blue team had Nick, Fabian, Dylan and Alex. The boys scored some great goals and followed them up with some equally good celebrations. Both teams finished in the top 4 in the tournament and had a fun day of 3v3 soccer.

The Nationals FC 2000 boys began their 2nd day with their final pool game against the Charlotte Hurricanes. The boys played with confidence and controlled most of the possession. They finished the game with a 5-1 win to secure the second seed from their pool going into the playoff round.

As a second seed, Nationals FC drew the Samba Dragons, a third seed team from New York. The boys started strong, controlling possession in the game and ended halftime with a lead of 3-0. In the second half, they were up 4-1 and were looking to finish off the game as they had done in the first half. Unfortunately their defense lost composure in the last few minutes of the game and gave up 4 goals. The game losing goal came just seconds before the final whistle. No matter what team you play, making too many mistakes in 3v3 will cost you goals. It was a very hard loss with tears and disbelief on their faces after the game. They knew they should have done better. The boys learned a very hard lesson today. One they will not soon forget I'm sure.

The Nationals FC 2000 boys played 2 games in their first day of the 2010 Kick It 3v3 World Championships. Their first pool game they faced Chicago United, 2 time champions and number 1 ranked team in the nation. The boys had a slow start dropping 6 goals before coming back to post 3 of their own. It was a challenging game but they gained some great experience going forward.

In their second game they faced the Kraze academy, a local Florida team. The Nationals FC boys finished with a 10 to 1 win. They will play their 3rd pool game at 9:30 in the morning to position themselves for a playoff run.

The 2000 boys took their final training preparation indoors for the Kick It 3v3 World Championships. For the past two weeks they have played indoor matches at Frisco Indoor Sports against other local 3v3 teams making the trip to Disney. The boys mostly faced older teams consisting of 99, 98 & 97 boys and girls. It was great competition for all and allowed the boys to get their game rhythm down. The boys will be traveling to Orlando, FL at the end of the week and will play their first pool games on Saturday at the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex. Best of luck boys!

The 2000 boys kicked off the 3v3 winter season with a MLS Cup watching party. The Nationals FC boys will begin preparation for their second straight year of making the Kick It 3v3 national championships to be held in Orlando, FL on January 15-17th in 2010. To prepare for cold weather training they received some new Nationals FC beanies. The boys also welcomed Matt, the newest member of the 2000 boys 3v3 team who will join them in Florida.

After a kick around outside they enjoyed some pizza and snacks. Before the MLS Cup they showed their skills playing some FIFA 10 on the big screen. Barcelona was the big winner of the night. The excitement of the MLS cup was not enough to hold them back from starting their own indoor game in the next room before the half. Hopefully we will see the same desire in January when they face some of the best teams in the nation. Good luck boys!

Nationals FC was representing for the first ever soccer game at the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX. We wore our Nationals FC blue in a sea of green as Mexico defeated Haiti 4-0 in front of over 82,000 fans at the Gold Cup tournament. The stadium was first class and the giant HD screen over the field was bigger than you could imagine but I still prefer the pitch at Pizza Hut Park. Dallas Cowboys Stadium doesn't quite feel like a soccer stadium but it does provide an exciting atmosphere when packed to capacity.
