The Nationals FC 05 girls finished 2nd at the 2012 Kick It 3v3 World Championships. The 3v3 tournament took place in Orlando, FL at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex over Martin Luther King weekend. The girls played through 2 days of pool games and took first seed going into the playoffs. In fact, the Nationals FC girls were the only team to defeat every team in their age group. On their 3rd day they advanced to the final against Liverpool, also from North Texas, but came up short in the championship game. Regardless, the girls played great defense, possession style 3v3 soccer and attacked with all 3 players in their run to the final. We are very proud of these young players and they represented our 3v3 academy and club with pride, never wavering in their style of play. Congratulations to Riley, Torie, Daylin, Addisyn and Kyndal. They have set the bar very high and we look forward to great things from them and our growing 3v3 academy in the future.

The journey to this tournament began with our first practice in May of 2010. A great deal of time was sacrificed between then and now. So thank you to the families that made this amazing trip happen! Without your time, money, support and understanding none of this would be possible. This experience will always be a great memory for all of us and will propel the girls to even greater achievements in the future. Thank you!

The Nationals FC 05 girls recently finished their first season of futsal at the Sportsplex in Dallas. The girls quickly adjusted to a new type of soccer while trying new 1v1 moves they learned from fall skills training sessions. Their previous knowledge of 3v3 proved to be of great benefit as they made the progression to their futsal formation effortlessly. Congratulations to Addisyn, Ayleen, Daylin, Elizabeth, Kyndal, Pallie, Riley and Torie for a great first season of futsal.

Some of the Nationals FC 05 girls attended the Team First Soccer Camp at Blue Sky Sports Center in The Colony. Team First is a soccer camp specifically for young girls and features coaching by Mia Hamm, Kristine Lilly and Tisha Venturini. The camp provided the opportunity to meet and interact with these world famous US players as well as learn the value of putting their team first. It was an amazing experience for the girls to meet these legends of women's soccer.

The girls got to wear an actual Olympic gold medal from the 2004 Athens summer games where the United States women won the tournament. Mia Hamm and Kristine Lilly were a part of the team.

Kristin Swanson is our first coach to join our summer coaching program for Nationals FC. Kristin will be working with the Nationals FC 05 girls as a player mentor to the girls and gaining some coaching experience along the way. Kristen plays division 1 women's soccer for Mississippi Valley State University. During the summer, she also plays for the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) for the Fort Worth Panthers. Kristin is quickly getting to know the girls and is learning how we coach in our 3v3 academy system.
