3v3 Summer Soccer '10 League
3v3 Summer Soccer '10 play begins Friday, June 11th. This 3v3 scrimmage league is open to boys and girls for age groups 05's to 97's. It's a great place to have some summer fun and play creative soccer in a 3v3 format. League spots will be limited and will be first come first serve. Individual players may contact us for help finding a team. Watch a video of our 3v3 league last summer!

When and Where?
Starting Friday, June 11th, 7 weeks of 3v3 small sided games will be played at Turner Fields in The Colony, TX (Google Map Link). Teams will have 1 hour of playtime with 2 games per night.
- June 11th, 6pm to 9pm - Turner Fields

- June 25th, 6pm to 9pm - Turner Fields
- July 9th, 6pm to 9pm - Turner Fields (rained out)

Cost
$210 per team to cover field cost and equipment. Payments can be made online with a credit card or checks made payable to "Nationals FC". Payments must be made by June 11th before your first game. Drop-in players must pay $5 per night.
3v3 League Format
This is a Friday night 3v3 scrimmage league
for age groups 05's to 97's. It will not be a formal league with referees and strict
rules. Rather it will be an opportunity for players to manage themselves and
largely be an organized version of street soccer. Coaches will supervise, tally
scores and only intervene when necessary. Basic rules of 3v3 used in Kick It
tournaments will apply.
- Games on Friday night as not to interfere with academy training or games
- Two 12 minute halves per game
- Two games for a total of 48 minutes of soccer
- 20 x 30 and 30 x 40 fields with regulation Kick It goals
- Recommended roster of 5-6 players to maximize playing time
- No set players on rosters. New players may come and go but must sign a release and pay $5 fee per night.
- A point system will keep track of standings and posted on the website
Frequently Asked Questions
Who is this 3v3 league for?
This league is targeted to academy teams or rec teams with experienced players who want to further develop their skills. This is not a league for players who are trying out soccer for their first time. It will be competitive.
Why don't you have referees?
Because we ultimately don't care about wins and losses. This league is about developing players through lots of repetition and problem solving in real game situations. We allow players to take ownership of their own game by calling their own fouls and deciding what is "fair" for both teams. This leads to good sportsmanship. Coaches provide guidance as needed.
Do we need uniforms?
Uniforms are not necessary. Colored bibs will be provided for all teams.
Do we need a coach?
No. If a coach is not available any parent or volunteer may help out. We have several coaches attending that will help organize players and teach them how to make substitutions.
When will schedules be posted?
We post game schedules week to week. This allows us to adjust each team to find the right level of competition whether it be boys against girls or playing different age groups against each other. We want each team to experience success but also be challenged to their level of play. We also listen to coaches' special requests for match ups. The flexibility of the league allows us to provide the best development environment for players.
What if I have a player but not a full team?
We will do our best to help individual players find teams. If players want to participate we would like to help. But we usually accept formed teams into the league. Contact us for your specific situation.
Documents
Teams must fill out a waiver/release of liability and roster form before the first game. All player parent/guardians must sign the release form.
